The Convenience Industry Council of Canada (CICC) is a national not-for-profit that advocates for the success of convenience businesses. Across the country, CICC represents retailers, distributors, and manufacturers. Together, they share a common goal: to strengthen, elevate, and protect the industry. As a result, the council speaks with a strong, unified voice that champions the sector’s reputation and supports continued growth.

For the 2025 edition of its flagship publication, CICC returned to us to evolve the State of the Industry (SOI) report. Building on the solid foundation set in 2024, we focused on clarity, professionalism, and credibility. At the same time, we introduced subtle design enhancements to elevate the overall experience of the CICC 2025 SOI Report. These refinements strengthen storytelling, clarify hierarchy, and keep the report engaging and accessible for a wide industry audience.

Evolved.

At its core, the report relies on a clean, consistent grid system. Bold, capitalized headings and clear data visualizations guide readers through the content. Meanwhile, new refinements add depth and visual interest without disrupting the structure. A subtle glass effect layers behind select graphics, while dynamic photo cropping and colour-blocked captions improve rhythm and readability.

In addition, key quotes stand out through a new red grid treatment. This approach draws attention to important insights and breaks up dense content. Throughout the report, colour remains intentional and restrained, highlighting key statistics and moments. Finally, generous white space and considered typography preserve clarity for both detail-focused readers and high-level decision makers.

Ultimately, the 2025 SOI report feels familiar yet refined. It presents a confident, cohesive, and authoritative system that strengthens the impact of the CICC 2025 SOI Report and reinforces CICC’s role as a trusted industry voice.
