On Remembrance Day, Commissionaires commemorates the service and sacrifice of Canada’s veterans through a thoughtful, reflective observance. As Canada’s only national not-for-profit security organization and one of the country’s largest private-sector employers of veterans, Commissionaires provides meaningful work for former military personnel. The organization also delivers trusted security services to government and private-sector clients nationwide. For decades, it has upheld a commitment to service, dedication, and honouring those who have served the country.

Each year, Remembrance Day offers a moment to reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and commitment of Canada’s veterans. For this observance, Commissionaires marked the occasion with a commemorative piece designed to honour those who served. The work acknowledged both shared history and collective memory. It created a respectful, reflective tone suitable for the solemnity of the day. By highlighting the legacy of service, it connected contemporary audiences with the historical experiences of Canada’s veterans.

Lest We Forget.

The Commissionaires Remembrance Day design was presented across multiple formats, including social media posts, print publications, banners, and newspaper placements in various sizes and orientations. By using this multi-platform approach, the message remained consistent, clear, and visually impactful across all channels. Furthermore, each format carefully adapted the design elements to maintain readability, preserve visual integrity, and create a cohesive experience, allowing audiences to engage with the piece both online and offline.

In addition, the design featured the bilingual headline “We honour those who served” alongside a striking black-and-white photograph of gunners from the 12th Field Regiment reading the Victory Issue newspaper. The photograph served as the focal point, capturing a historical moment while evoking reflection and reverence. Together, the headline and imagery created a quiet, contemplative atmosphere. Moreover, the combination of typography, imagery, and layout ensured the final deliverables felt timeless, respectful, and aligned with the values of Commissionaires.
