Lanark County, located west of Ottawa, offers a mix of natural beauty, rich heritage, and vibrant communities. It features charming towns such as Perth, Carleton Place, and Almonte, known for historic architecture, art galleries, artisan shops, and cultural events. Lanark County celebrates its deep connection to arts and heritage through festivals, museums, and local crafts.
With a focus on art and heritage, Mississippi Mills wanted to inspire people to come and explore Lanark County. They chose to create a tourist guide with this goal in mind. The objective was to create a brochure showcasing the rich art, heritage, and communities of Lanark County, using captivating visuals and ensuring ease of navigation.
When creating the Lanark County tourist guide, our goal was to capture the rich artistic and cultural heritage of the county in a way that was both informative and visually engaging. We’ve crafted a visual language that reflects the natural beauty of Lanark County, highlighting its landmarks and artistic charm.
A balance between clean, accessible layouts and rich imagery draws readers in, while keeping the guide easy to navigate. Every design choice, from colour palette to typography, was made to evoke a connection to the region’s heritage. Ultimately, we’ve created a guide that not only informs, but inspires readers to explore Lanark County with a sense of curiosity and appreciation.
