The Canadian Nuclear Association (CNA) hosts an annual conference that brings together leaders, innovators, and professionals from across the nuclear sector. This national event is a cornerstone of collaboration, creating space for knowledge-sharing, networking, and discussion. Attendees engage with emerging technologies, policy developments, and the evolving role of nuclear energy in Canada and beyond. Through these conversations, the CNA conference helps drive progress toward a safe, sustainable, and forward-thinking nuclear industry.
Each year, the conference requires a refreshed identity—one that reflects the event’s evolving themes while staying grounded in its purpose. A successful CNA Conference Identity should feel contemporary, yet aligned with the organization’s broader brand. It must spark interest, encourage meaningful engagement, and clearly convey the event’s values. For the 2024 conference, the identity needed to express optimism, clarity, and unity—while remaining professional and adaptable across many touch points.
Our goal was to develop a CNA Conference Identity that balances visual sophistication with strategic simplicity. At its centre is a modern maple leaf, created from a network of circles in various sizes. This shape represents collaboration, growth, and the interconnected nature of the nuclear sector. It also highlights Canada’s national leadership in nuclear innovation. The geometric structure references scientific precision and clean design, both important qualities in the industry.
In addition to the symbol, we selected a refined typeface and bold colour palette to support the identity. Deep blue conveys trust and professionalism, while bright blue adds energy and modernity. These elements work together to form a clean, scalable system that performs well across digital and physical formats—whether on signage, presentation screens, or printed materials. Overall, the 2024 CNA Conference Identity sets the tone for open dialogue and collective progress in a fast-evolving field.
