The Reconciliation Action Plan serves as a resource for professional learning within the Canadian nuclear industry. This document aims to educate individuals and organizations on how to establish and navigate respectful relationships with Indigenous Nations and communities.
CNA’s goal for this document was subtlety, prioritizing accessibility and ease of navigation. We needed to create a visual identity that was both professional and engaging. At the same time, it needed to convey respect and consideration for the audience, ensuring a thoughtful experience for all readers.
The design approach for this project was inspired by the artwork of Karly Cywink, whose beautiful illustrations were featured on the front and back covers. Through thoughtful design choices, these documents have become valuable resources for promoting understanding and collaboration within the industry.
The document focuses on cleanliness, accessibility, and readability while ensuring respectful content presentation. The artwork inspired the integration of colours and motifs, creating a cohesive visual identity. Every design detail was carefully considered, from selecting colours and fonts to arranging content in a visually appealing and mindful way.
