Commissionaires Division Maps | Mapping a Nationwide Presence

Commissionaires came to us with a clear goal in mind. They wanted to visually represent their national presence in a way that was both accurate and cohesive. With operations spanning the entire country, they needed a solution that could communicate the breadth of their reach while remaining easy for viewers to interpret at a glance. A key objective was to highlight their 15 divisions and the number of offices in each, giving equal importance to national scale and regional detail.

As a long-standing organization with a professional, trusted reputation, their maps had to go beyond simply outlining geographic boundaries. They needed to embody the strength and unity of the organization while adapting seamlessly to both large-format and smaller-scale applications. The challenge was to create a visual system that balanced functionality with a polished, consistent look that aligned perfectly with the Commissionaires’ brand.

Commissionaires is a nationwide organization with a network of divisions and offices that support operations across Canada.

UNIFIED.

We created a complete set of 15 individual division maps. Each includes a small map of Canada to provide context and help viewers orient themselves. We also designed a standalone full map of Canada to show the organization’s national reach. Each map comes in two sizes—one for smaller viewing and another for larger displays—so they work across different mediums. We added visual depth with a perspective view and subtle 3D effect, making each division’s shape stand out.

We developed custom markers to highlight key locations. These mark division head offices, types of regional offices, and subsections within each division. Using consistent marker styles, we established a visual language that makes the maps both intuitive and polished.

The result is a unified suite of maps. They can stand alone in division offices or display together to show the organization’s full reach. This cohesive approach ensures that the maps communicate professionalism and attention to detail wherever they appear.
