We developed a logo that depicts the sun rising over still water along the horizon, with the sun rays made up of human hands, reflecting Stronger Bahamas’ goal of presenting a safe, prosperous and modern future. The rising sun represents new beginnings and a flourishing future, while the calm waters reflect a secure environment. The hands speak to humanity, banding together toward a common goal.
We used the Bahamas’ national colours – yellow, blue and black – to associate the logo with the government’s existing look and feel, and to draw on the colours’ cultural and political symbolism. Yellow represents the golden sand and shining sun; blue captures the surrounding sea, and black symbolizes the strength of the Bahamian people.
Our team applied the new identity across a range of Stronger Bahamas communications materials, creating visual cohesion and reinforcing the initiative’s core messages. This helped bolster a positive public perception of the government and instill trust in the program.
We also designed and developed a Stronger Bahamas website, which highlights news, accomplishments and critical goals, and engages users through a strong emphasis on public collaboration.
