Doctor Hoa Nguyen runs a successful Ottawa dental practice offering advanced general care, state-of-the-art technologies, progressive hygiene, and cosmetic and neuromuscular dentistry. The practice focuses on listening to individuals’ needs and helping their patients understand the scope of available dental care and how to improve their overall dental health.
Dr. Nguyen wanted to communicate their modern approach to dentistry and distinguish the clinic as an industry leader. Their communications needed to convey their professionalism and high calibre of service while demonstrating their unique personality and advancements in dental care. They also wanted patients to experience a spa-like feel at their clinic – a five-star quality service, and an atmosphere of relaxation.
Dentistry is everywhere, as are the commonly recognized symbols associated with the field. This presents a challenge when trying to differentiate from competitors. A logo needs to be simple, recognizable, memorable – and reflective of the discipline it represents. We wanted to depict a beautiful smile, quality and personality, without the ubiquity.
The result? We crafted a beautiful smile using the negative space around five stars of excellence to create a conceptual representation of a toothy smile, minus the pervasive cartoon tooth.
We designed a stationery set including letterhead, envelopes, appointment cards and business cards. We created a memorable way to make their business cards stand out by introducing a die-cut bite mark out of the corner.
We created a service brochure for the Dr. Nguyen waiting rooms, reminiscent of a menu. It featured their logo embossed onto a silver cover and included a brief description of each service available to clients. The brochure could be used as an overview, allowing clients to discuss the information during their appointments.
Dr. Nguyen’s corporate identity and stationery communicates their commitment to lead the industry through their dedication to dental health and five-star customer service. Their modern, spa-like approach to dentistry is evident in the branded materials they present to new and returning customers.
