The 2020 theme for the Canadian Nuclear Association's annual conference was Nuclear Now: Achieving our Clean Energy Future. In tune with this title, the conference's primary purpose was to promote nuclear energy as an eco-friendly and reliable energy source, a clear path for the future of power generation. Since 2013, Xquisit has been branding and designing communications collateral for the Canadian Nuclear Association (CNA) conferences. This year, as in previous years, the CNA required engaging graphics to confer information, direct conference-goers and promote brand visibility.
To communicate the conference's theme and bring attention to the global fight to tackle climate change, we designed an identity that consisted of foliage shapes encircling a power button to represent the positive impact renewable energy has for the planet. The CNA blue, light green and dark green colours were implemented as a gradient to strengthen the visual connection to the CNA brand and enhance the modernity of the identity.
We created a motif using the foliage shapes from the 2020 identity, and organic waves in a range of CNA branded colours. We drew elements from this motif to create a suite of branded collateral, including program booklets, app graphics, social media assets, video backgrounds, conference programs, hotel key cards, and large format signage. We methodically implemented branded visual elements into each piece to produce a family of designs with an overarching visual connection, strengthening CNA's standing as a trusted industry leader and helping attendees navigate the conference.
The conference material we designed for the Nuclear Now: Achieving our Clean Energy Future conference, helped CNA raise awareness of the positive impact nuclear energy has on the future and supported the success of the event.
