Founded in 1865, The Rideau Club offers timeless comfort for dining, drinks, and spirited games of billiards or cards. Located in the heart of Ottawa, the Rideau Club is an organization that strives to represent integrity, decorum, and authenticity. The Rideau Club creates social interaction, opportunities to meet in person, and enjoy the company of peers.
The Rideau Club sought a website design to reflect their mission, vision, and values. Refreshing their online presence, the Rideau Club aimed to create a modern website for the historic club. They wanted to maintain a polished, upstanding look, and consider usability and a positive user experience in the design.
To showcase the sophistication of the Rideau Club, the design needed to be polished, contemporary, and user-friendly. Our goal was to visually depict the club according to its core values. The result is a design that embodies tradition while embracing modernity, perfectly aligned with the club’s distinguished identity.
The final design reflects the decorum and pride of the Rideau Club and its members. It communicates their history, values, mission, and standards in a manner reflective of their vision, successfully representing their branding. The elegant accents and primary typeface (Bodoni) convey sophistication and tradition, while the clean layout and secondary typeface (PT Sans) introduce a modern touch, seamlessly blending classic and contemporary elements.
