To stay relevant in a changing landscape, ACEC sought a corporate identity refresh—an update that would modernize their logo while honouring the legacy of their existing brand. The goal was to enhance legibility, ensure greater accessibility, and present a refreshed identity that could confidently represent the organization across digital and print platforms. The result is a more streamlined and impactful brand presence that communicates both credibility and innovation.
The ACEC corporate identity refresh centres on simplifying and strengthening the organization’s visual presence. The acronym now takes prominence in the logotype, replacing the full name to create a cleaner, more flexible brand mark. This adjustment improves readability at various sizes and lends a bolder, more contemporary feel to the logo. Key refinements were made to the logomark, including reducing and recentring the maple leaf within the surrounding ring. The ring segments now feature consistent spacing, creating a more harmonious and balanced appearance. These subtle but meaningful updates elevate the overall brand and align it with the professional and forward-looking nature of the engineering sector.
