The Association of Consulting Engineers Canada (ACEC) is the voice of Canadian consulting engineering firms. They support excellence in engineering and represent the commercial interests of Canadian businesses that provide professional engineering services. They are a professional and reliable organization in the engineering industry.
ACEC sought a corporate identity refresh – a new design that maintained the spirit of their original identity while embracing a modern touch. The aim was to improve legibility and accessibility and to create a logo that felt contemporary and relevant.
The primary goal for this corporate identity design was to improve the legibility and perception of this logo. ACEC opted for a modernized design centred around their acronym, replacing the full organization name. This approach not only added a contemporary feel but also allowed for a larger, more impactful logotype.
The logomark has also been slightly refined, the size of the maple leaf has been reduced and centred within the ring. The spacing between segments of the ring is now consistent, creating a cleaner visual balance. These refinements give ACEC’s logo a sleeker, more sophisticated appearance, contributing to brand recognition and modernity.
