The Association of Consulting Engineering Companies (ACEC) represents businesses delivering professional engineering services to public and private sectors. As a trusted advocate, ACEC champions innovation, strengthens firms, and empowers members with expertise. For their submission to Canadian Consulting Engineer magazine, they sought an ACEC Article design to captivate readers. To start, they envisioned a layout that conveys a meaningful, dynamic, and engaging tone. Next, the design needed to highlight ACEC’s commitment to excellence while appealing to industry experts and the public.
The ACEC Article design aimed to fuse bold visuals with clear storytelling, showcasing engineering achievements. Our team dove into the project with enthusiasm, eager to craft a visually compelling, reader-friendly layout. By blending ACEC’s branding with a fresh aesthetic, our team created a design that amplifies the articles’ impact and sparks appreciation for the industry’s contributions.
We set out to craft an ACEC Article Design that balances professionalism with captivating, vibrant energy for lasting impact. The layout needed to engage readers, spotlight insights, and reflect ACEC’s leadership. To begin, we incorporated bold elements for striking visual impact. The design features Prussian blue, echoing engineering blueprints, to blend heritage with a modern edge. In contrast, clean typography and structured layouts create a clear hierarchy, harmonizing text and imagery effortlessly.
The final design draws readers in with pull quotes that highlight key points, guiding them smoothly through the content. Strategic spacing ensures readability across print and digital platforms. By weaving ACEC’s branding into every detail, the design reinforces their authority. In essence, the magazine design ignites interest among professionals and the public, fostering admiration for engineering innovation.
